In 1978, Phillip and Jerry Lawler opened up a barbecue store in Pulaski, Tennessee. Little did they realize how many years and how many pounds of pork it would take to get to this point. But through their tireless efforts, and the hard work of others, through much thick smoke, and by the grace of God...they made it work.
And now LawLers Barbecue has established a reputation for quality and cleanliness and Tickled Pink® service all over North Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee.
In an age where most pork is chopped, cut, or ground by machine...we still hand-pull our barbecue meats. Our "pickers" (as we affectionately call them!) are our best quality control. Their trained and caring touch takes out the fat, gristle, and bone, leaving only the tender and lean meat. We then lightly sauce it, so the hickory flavor bursts through in every bite!
At LawLers Barbecue, we realize that "tradition" is not as important to you as it is to us. We know we are only as good as our last barbecue sandwich or catered event. So we are always trying to improve our processes and systems and train our high performance team to take better care of YOU.
